‘St. Stelian’ Special Needs School – all children have the right to education Title: Let’s celebrate love Purpose: – shaping and developing behaviours which include the appreciation of any human being, increasing the degree of tolerance in order to reduce the risk of marginalization or social exclusion of disadvantaged people, putting into practice some skills and abilities to make final products as a result of teamwork. Target group: students and teachers from partner schools, including Romania Total number of participants: 36 project students and 6 volunteer students, 21 teachers Number of students / Country: France-12; Portugal-2, Slovenia-3, Slovakia-4, Turkey- 5, Romania-10 project pupils and 6 volunteer students Location: Special Technology High School “St. Stelian” Botosani Deployment: The interdisciplinary activity will be coordinated by the teachers: Ghinet Lavinia – English language teacher, Marinela Acsinte-tacher of physical education, Hutuleac Gabriela – teacher instructor, Raileanu Alina – teacher instructor, Amancei Mirela – psychology teacher, Lungu Ionela – librarian. Well-trained, enthusiastic teachers are willing to offer quality training in line with the requirements of modern education, based on stimulating and developing communication skills and capitalizing on students’ skills and aptitudes. Accordingly, the activity is a challenge for the coordinators, given the age differences, as well as the system of education (normal and special). The interdisciplinary activity will involve 2 workshops. Students will be divided into 2 groups, they will work according to a program agreed by the coordinators to reach the goal and achieve the objectives. Workshop 1 Students will create paper hearts using the origami technique and quilling. . Methods: demonstration, explanation, practical applications, teamwork. Teaching materials: coloured paper, glue, scissors, cutter Workshop 2 Students will work individually and in teams in order to paint traditional Romanian models on wooden spoons. Methods: demonstration, explanation, practical applications, teamwork Teaching materials: traditional patterns, spoons, colours, watercolours, pens. The activities will take into account the group of participants, their working capacity, the technical complexity of the task and the time required to obtain the finished product. Expected results: – Strengthening the friendship relationships between the students participating in the activity; – Increasing socialization and communication; – raising awareness of the needs of others; – Developing the artistic skills and the practical-organizational skills – Improving the empathic capacity towards pupils with special needs. Activity Assessment: – Completion of tasks;finished products – Obtain feedback from participants on the work done through addressing them directly. |
