February 2018 – The Romanian Mobility – the 1st Erasmus+ learning experience

Sunday 11h February:
We arrived in Bucharest, the journey continues to Suceava, second flight.

We arrived in Suceava and took the bus to Botosani. Everyone is well - we have already met Latvian, Slovak,
and Romanian teachers and pupils.

Monday 12:
We attended a show prepared by the students and teachers of Romania. We listened to traditional Romanian
songs and French songs as well as presentations in English. All the students presented themselves in an original
way. We also attended courses in economics and social sciences.
We ate at the high school cafeteria at noon and this evening we will eat at the restaurant.
Students begin to get to know each other and speak in English (or French or Spanish or Portuguese ...).

Tuesday 13:
This 2nd day was dedicated to the cultural discovery of the city of Iasi. In the morning we visited two
museums in the Palace of Culture, a beautiful building of 298 rooms of the 19th century. The pupils were
able to discover the ethnographic part reserved to the Romanian culture as well as the museum of sciences
and technique. Through these cultural experiences - and accompanied by all the teachers, the students were
also attentive to the facilities reserved for people with reduced mobility (ramps, elevators ...).
We also visited an Orthodox Church and the University of Iasi.

Wednesday 14:
This 3rd day - under the snow - started with the visit of Saint Stelian school, dedicated to children with special
needs.
Students were able to participate in making Valentine's Day gifts; St Stelian students also gave them presents
for Valentine's Day.
This meeting ended once again with an introduction to traditional Romanian dances, to which everyone was
able to participate.
In the second half of the morning, the 9th grade students took part in a French class, under the sign of
friendship and openness to others. 10th grade students worked on children's rights of their respective countries.
The afternoon was dedicated to visiting the Hand of Help orphanage in Botosani, where students created
Valentine's Day cards.
A day under the sign of fraternity!

Thursday 15: This fourth day in Botosani began with a conference on the rights of children with disabilities.
Local leaders of associations assisting children in difficulty presented to us the measures and actions
undertaken for students with special needs. As a result, each of the member countries of the project was able
to present the measures and actions that are in force in their country. The students closed this time of exchanges
with a Flash Mob under the fresh snow of Botosani, and a moment of Free Hugs. The afternoon was festive,
followed by a last dinner together.

Friday the 16th: This 5th and last day began with the visits of the rectorate of Botosani, the county prefecture
and the town hall. The representatives of the local authorities unanimously welcomed the entire “Sharing the
World” project and approved the Memorandum proposed by the Romanian team. This memorandum proposes
a series of measures aimed at the inclusion of students with special needs at school. The afternoon ended with
a free time during which the students gradually said goodbye.
