Activity – Hours of English in a special program

Within the Erasmus + project, in the school year 2017/18, English was pursuing an interest in a branch with a special program. Half-hour meetings were held weekly, 10 times in a row. They were attended by 3 pupils and 3 pupils from the sections of the special program. The goal of interest-based activities was to acquaint pupils with a foreign language, to provide them with sufficient basic knowledge for the necessary communication when learning about students from foreign countries (the project: Sharing the world: disability and displacement), since last year they attended the meetings in Romania, and this year some of them are leaving for France. The presentation of the substance was based on a didactic aid Picture of the language, in the form of cards. Picture material is intended for teaching Slovene as a second/foreign language, but for the purpose of implementing the Diversity project, we are connecting a certain range of selected pictorial materials to use in teaching English as a foreign language. The response of the students was positive, and this year we continue with the interest in this year’s school year, in the scope of 12 meetings. Acknowledgment to continue with the exercise in the form of interest is exclusively curious learners, which we will soon see at the first meeting.
